History always manages to astound me. From the fascinating architecture, to the bridges, to the historic buildings and sites. We've gone to Louisa May Alcott's house, John Alden's house, countless other historical sites, and it never ceased to amaze me how much history can exist in one tiny little state.
In Massachusetts there was several great writers like the Bronte sisters, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and my favorite, Louisa May Alcott. Louisa wrote many books when she was alive, and as I learned today, she based one of her most famous books: "Little Women" on her very own family. As we walked through the Alcott house, I kept looking around, amazed at the history, and the fact that the building was still in such pristine condition. What amazed me the most was that while on the tour, the guide told us that 80% of the belongings and furniture in the house actually belonged to the Alcott family.
Along the tour we came to the parlor, with a small couch with a small long orange pillow. As we listened to the guide, she told us that this pillow had a very unique story. The story went something like this: "A story passed down through generations of Alcott's descendants concerns Louisa's 'Sausage' pillow and its use as a family signal. When the pillow was placed upright on the couch, it meant that Louisa was happy. But when the pillow was on its side, the observer had best beware, for Louisa was in one of her 'moods.'" That direct telling of the story came from a little tag from my very own "mood pillow", purchased at Louisa May Alcott's house. When Louisa was in her writing "Vortex" as she called it, the pillow would be on it's side. If she was disturbed it has been told that she could be very irritable. Now that I have my very own "mood pillow" I can let others know when to beware of me and my moods.
Another place we visited was John Alden's house. This fascinated me so much because my family has been able to trace our tree back, and we found that we are actually descendants of John Alden. Walking through the house I couldn't help but notice how you weren't aloud to take pictures or videos. It made me a little bit sad because pictures and videos are the best way to show off what adventures and amazing experiences you have been on, it's sad, but it's the way it is and the rules were the same in Louisa May Alcott's house. Walking through the house made me wish that I could find/create some sort of time machine so I could go back in time and witness the lives of people like John Alden, Louisa May Alcott and her family, and many others.
Massachusetts has the most amazing history filled with many course changing battles, the Salem Witch Trials, and others of course. I hope that one day when I'm older I'll be able to take my kids here to Boston, Concord, Norwood, and Massachusetts as a whole. Thanks to my mom and my step-dad Bill, 3 of my sisters and I, along with my parents of course, have had the amazing opportunity to travel across Massachusetts making many memories that I'll never forget. I only wish we weren't missing some of our "troop". We love and miss you Madi and Ashley!
P.S: I will post pictures later, because I have a lot!

Excitement, Introductions, and Birthdays.. Woo Hoo!
My awesome mom is taking my step-dad, a few of my sisters, and me to Boston, Massachusetts. (We'll miss you Madi!) Let me say that again, in 3 days I get to go to Boston, Massachusetts. I don't think I could be more excited. We are going to leave either the night of the 28th, or the morning of the 29th. I am so excited, that my birthday almost needs to go by faster just so I can go to Boston. We're going to visit Louisa May Alcott's house, and John Alden's house, as well as several other landmarks.
A few weeks ago, I lost a camera that I had for several years. When I discovered that it was missing a pit formed in my stomach, and it continued to grow as the week went on and it had still not been found. It's been about 3 weeks since I lost it, and I am still devastated, but thanks to two of my older sisters, I have a new camera. I still miss my old one, and hope everyday that it will show up, but still no luck after searching the house and tearing it apart, as well as checking the school office. I hope it will show up, but even if it doesn't, I have a new amazing camera, thanks to my two older sisters. I am so grateful that because of them I am going to have my very own camera to take hundreds of pictures in Boston, to keep the memories of the trip years from now. Thanks Car and Em!
As well as Boston, my birthday is also this week, but not just mine, Abby's too. Now for those of you reading this who don't know who Abby, or Carley, or Emily is, let me give you a quick run down. I have six sisters Wendy is the oldest, and she lives in Ohio since she's my half-sister. Then there is Carley and Madi they are 18 and fraternal twins, the first set of twins in our family. After Carley and Madi is Emily. Emily always claims she has "middle child syndrome", jokingly, or so we think. She is 17, and the only single child. Ashley is my step-sister, and she is 16. Most of the time she lives in Fayetville, Georgia with her mom, but we love the small visits that we get whenever possible. Then of course me, and Abby. We're 14, but turning 15 this Tuesday, the 27th. We're identical twins, and have been the best of buds since we were babies. I can't imagine not having a twin sister to nag at me, and to frustrate me to my wits end.
So anyway, back to my birthday. I am definitely excited to turn 15 so I can get my permit, but who knows what else being 15 will bring. My birthday, however is not just about me. It's about my twin, and best friend from the beginning, Abby. I don't know what I would do without this girl. She is the one person that gets me almost 100% of the time, even when I tell her that I am sick of sharing a room with her. She gets it, and chances are, with almost anything I say, her feelings are most likely mutual. She puts up with me more than anyone else, and I can only guess how hard that is. Anyway, Happy early birthday Abby! 3 days till Boston!

P.S. Fall is my favorite time of the year, I love the colorful and crunchy leaves.

Going Crazy? Yeah, Me too.
So, I figured that a lot of you don't know me very well, so I'd start with things that will help you get to know me a little bit better. So why not start with pet peeves, the things that bug us the most.
According to my friends and family, I have a lot of them, and many of them are pointless little things, but hey, that's me. So let’s start.
First of all, I absolutely hate it when someone enters a room when the door is closed, then promptly leaves, and does not re-close the door, don't ask me why, but it drives me completely nuts when people do this. I mean if the door is closed, then why would they want you to leave it open when you leave? It's so incredibly annoying that I can't stand it. I guess I'm picky about the little things.
I also hate it when people leave their stuff lying around, don't get me wrong, I love my family but some of them seem to have a tendency of leaving their stuff lying around, and when they do, it sometimes goes missing, creating a hectic situation if they do disappear. We then have to search the house in various places to find the missing object, and it can take quite a while. I hate it when my stuff goes missing which is why I try to make sure that it doesn't go missing. What can I say; I'm the organized one, usually...
Thirdly, messy people. I'm OCD about my stuff being organized and clean so when I need to go find something, I know exactly where it is and it doesn't take me two or three hours of digging around in my closet to find it. I have all my stuff neatly condensed into three shelves in my closet, and on my desk, nightstand, and bookshelf. Like I said, I'm very organized. Now and then though there does come a time when I lose stuff like my phone, or my camera. However I almost always find them within ten minutes, but the times when I don't? I usually never see the items again.
Fourth, when people leave projects unfinished. If you’re going to start something finish it, it's as simple as that. Don't take days, weeks, months, or even years to finish it. Get it done relatively soon after you've started it.
Fifth, pointless arguments. Now, I admit, I definitely have my fair share of them, but they still drive me crazy. If you’re going to argue over something, make it something meaningful and worthwhile, don't argue over whether a pencil sharpener is green or neon yellow. It's a complete waste of time.
Last, when someone manages to simultaneously control the T.V., the computer, all while using their iPods. If you're going to watch your favorite show on the discovery channel, don't be reading, surfing Facebook, and playing Angry Birds on your iPod at the same time. Pick one. ONE. I know that may be a hard concept to grasp, but practice it and you'll get better, I promise.
